Third-graders at Sacred Heart Girls' School, a private all-girls school in Minato Ward, Tokyo, studied patterns. Their curiosity expanded to the intricate patterns of Edo Kiriko, a traditional craft.

To help with this, TSUCHI-YA, a specialty store that handles Edo Kiriko and other glassware, held a special class on "The Meaning and Use of Patterns," exploring the world of patterns together with the children.
